We are a NACCC Accredited centre for Child Contact Services!
Child Contact Services are there for children to maintain or re-establish contact with a parent, grandparent, sibling, other relative, or another person important in their life. It may be that trust has broken down or communication has become difficult following parental separation.
Family Time sessions are there to help keep children in touch with parents when their relationship has broken down, their is no current arrangements in place that can be agreed or a safe environment is needed. Parents do not have to meet and several families use the facilities at the same time.
This is a form of contact where the level of risk is assessed to be lower than it might be for supervised contact. It is also used as a way to progress from supervised contact.
Here at Family Freedom & Connections we offer Supported Contact within a large hall for families that need that extra support.
We have a dedicated team of highly trained and professional staff to support parents/children during their sessions and for handovers. Each family is allocated a Family Support Worker to offer consistency and familiarity.
Our halls are shared with multiple families with a large variety of different activities available including cars, trains, building blocks, arts & crafts, sensory toys and much more.
We offer sessions on a fortnightly or monthly basis and each session is for two hours. Complimentary tea and coffee is offered for adults and a variety of soft drinks for children. No reports are provided for this service.
Please note that this service may not be suitable. If there is a risk of harm to children then a supervised service needs to be used.
